Critical Perspectives
Clearly women can only have stillbirths which is why stillbirth is an example of feminist criticism . Women are presented as victims and not survivors when dealing with losing a child . Women aren't granted the attention they deeply need after stillbirth. In this case men arnt viewed as the dominant it seems nobody who’s dealt with stillbirth is even being viewed at all . Also , feminist criticism is shown as in woman's body not being as important to find an end to losing children . Many healthcare professionals don't see or recognize stillbirth as a psychologically taxing event and thus women aren't given the correct care . The psychological literature on perinatal loss is reviewed from a critical feminist perspective . I strongly argue doctors must understand the personal meanings of a woman's stillbirth experience.
