Important dates such as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, proclaimed so by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 3. Stillbirth hasn't been introduced to the world as something women must avoid .Fetal Mortality is used for death in fetus prior to birth . Based on Child Health USA data show more than a million fetal losses are estimated to occur annually in the United States, most of are early fetal losses. Despite how often stillbirths occur there isn't much research on the topic . 4 According to the article “ In 2006, fetal mortality rates at 20+ weeks were more than twice as high among non-Hispanic Black women as for non-Hispanic White women (10.73 versus 4.81 per 1,000).
